Volleyball Recap: Amboy Clippers vs. Parkview Christian Academy Falcons
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Amboy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Parkview Christian Academy Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Clippers.
Brittlyn Whitman was the offensive standout of the contest as she had five digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Amboy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matchups.
Lilah Carlyle and Kendra Mersman certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Carlyle had 14 assists and eight digs, while Mersman had ten digs and one assist.
Amboy's victory bumped their record up to 9-18-4. As for Parkview Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 17-18.
Amboy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Somonauk on the 29th. Parkview Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
