Piedmont never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the Putnam City North Panthers as they made off with an 8-0 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 contests by six runs or more this season.

Piedmont has been performing well recently as they've won 17 of their last 21 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Putnam City North, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-26.

Piedmont wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-0 win against Yukon on the 9th. Putnam City North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
