Softball Recap: Santiam Comes Up Short

Santiam fell victim to Culver and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Wolverines' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Santiam's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Culver, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santiam will welcome Vernonia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Loggers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15 runs per game on average), something the Wolverines will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Culver, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Central Linn at 4:30 p.m.
