Preview: Miller Rebels vs. Indian Springs COYOTES
Miller has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The Indian Springs COYOTES at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Miller will be strutting in after a win while Indian Springs will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Miller strolled past San Bernardino with points to spare, taking the game 28-14.
Jesus Rasura and Ilya Ridge were among the main playmakers for Miller as the former rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries and the latter rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
Meanwhile, Indian Springs ended up a good deal behind Rubidoux on Friday and lost 37-20. Indian Springs has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Xavier Webber, who picked up 237 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Webber's longest reception was for an incredible 95 yards. Damien Mancha was another key contributor, throwing for 314 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per attempt.
Miller now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Indian Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
Miller was able to grind out a solid victory over Indian Springs in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, winning 39-26. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Indian Springs' Darin Harris, who rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 251 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
