Football Recap: Riverside Gets the Win

If Clint wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Riverside, they should've done a better job of containing Carlos Rojas III. The Rangers blew past the Lions 59-35 on Friday thanks in part to Rojas III, who rushed for 359 yards and five TDs while picking up 19.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 104 yards and three touchdowns. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.

Clint lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brandon Quezada, who rushed for 106 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Contreras, who rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown.

Riverside now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Clint, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Riverside didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 48-13 win against Irvin on the 20th. As for Clint, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 34-14 victory against Bowie on the 19th.
