Soccer Game Preview: Ray vs. Weslaco

The Ray Texans will take on the Weslaco Panthers in a tournament on Friday. Weslaco took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Ray, who comes in off a win.

Ray took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial a 2-0 shutout. Zoe Trevino had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Texans.

Meanwhile, Weslaco's undefeated season came to an end after eight games on Saturday. They fell just short of Sharyland by a score of 1-0. The loss put an end to the Panthers' undefeated start to the season.

Ray's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Weslaco, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.
