Softball Recap: Baldwin Comes Up Short

Baldwin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to the South Park Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Highlanders of the 6-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Baldwin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teaghan Scanlon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Mackenzie Bowen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for South Park, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 19-0.

Baldwin has already played their next game, a 5-4 win against Montour on the 30th. As for South Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-6 loss against Hempfield Area on the 5th.
