Basketball Recap: Holmdel Triumphs

Holmdel never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Ranney on Friday. They walked away with a 63-55 victory over Ranney. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with Ranney: they've now won three in a row.

Holmdel now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Ranney, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holmdel will head out to challenge Freehold Township at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ranney, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Morristown-Beard at 12:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026.
