Laton and Minarets played the most hotly contested game in East Sierra this week, with Laton eventually emerging with a 20-15 victory. Lalo Perez threw for 54 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 94 yards in the win.

Farmersville led the league in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Orosi. Sam Metcalf threw for 361 yards and five touchdowns and ran for 15 yards in the win.

The Aztecs' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Joseph De La Cruz chipped in 109 yards. Eddie Cisneros helped Farmersville's passing attack out by catching two balls for 61 yards.

Cody Hall was the best wideout in the league this week as Farmersville topped the Cardinals. Hall racked up 11 receptions for 182 yards.

Adan Ortega made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Mustangs defeated the Mustangs. The 5-foot-7 sophomore recorded one fumble and racked up one sack.

David Lewis' team's Metcalf and Hall have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading East Sierra in both passing and receiving yards. Metcalf has thrown for 1596 yards this season, while Hall, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 39 catches for 798 yards. Perez from Laton leads the league in rushing with 592 yards.
