Basketball Game Preview: Bell Bulldogs vs. Dixie County Bears

The Bell Bulldogs will face off against the Dixie County Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bell is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Trenton on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Bell took a blow against Trenton, falling 69-19. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-15.

The losing side was boosted by Dacy Graham, who posted six points along with nine boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

Even though they lost, Bell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 12 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Dixie County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Lafayette, falling 51-27. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Bears struggled afterwards.

Bell has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Dixie County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
