Basketball Recap: Boone Comes Up Short

Boone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 56-47 to the North Polk Comets. The Toreadors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Comets earlier this season, when they won 72-68.

Boone's record is now 8-13. As for North Polk, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boone will challenge Nevada at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Polk, they will take on Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Johnston will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something North Polk surely won't give up without a fight.
