Baseball Recap: Dunmore Comes Up Short

Dunmore lost to Riverside back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bucks took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The Bucks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anthony Yerka made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Evan Mizenko, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Dunmore's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Riverside, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Dunmore is set to take on their familiar foe Old Forge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Riverside will square off against rival Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.9, the Chiefs 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
