On Monday, Palo Verde faced Centennial in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Palo Verde Panthers never let the Centennial Bulldogs onto the board and left with a 19-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers who have now won nine games in a row.

Samantha Manzo continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 108 yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Palo Verde didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Caitlyn Torpey and Manzo.

Palo Verde's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.0 points per game. As for Centennial, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Palo Verde will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Liberty at 4:30 p.m. As for Centennial, they are taking a road trip to take on Green Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
