Football Recap: Jake Lowery and Josiah Dozier Secure Win for Moody + How To Watch

While Moody's win against Leeds wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils skirted past the Greenwave 25-22. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Greenwave are ranked 75th) , the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

A big part of Moody's victory came down to the chemistry between Jake Lowery and his top target Josiah Dozier. Lowery threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns while Dozier picked up 118 receiving yards and three TDs. Lowery's passing game has become a key predictor of Moody's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

The win made it two in a row for Moody and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 22 points in those games. As for Leeds, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
