Volleyball Recap: L.C. Bird Comes Up Short

L.C. Bird was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Highland Springs Springers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Skyhawks of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

L.C. Bird was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-9, 25-22.

L.C. Bird's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Highland Springs, they moved to 4-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

L.C. Bird has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against J.R. Tucker on the 18th. As for Highland Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Henrico on the 18th.
