Basketball Game Preview: Rigby Trojans vs. Blackfoot Broncos

The Rigby Trojans will square off against the Blackfoot Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Rigby's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Saturday, Rigby earned a 59-51 win over Timberline.

Meanwhile, Blackfoot had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 66-64 victory over Century.

Rigby better keep an eye on Kasen Sorensen. He was instrumental in Blackfoot's win, going 8-for-9 on his way to 22 points along with five boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Sorensen a new career-high in shooting accuracy (89%). Austin Arave was another key player, shooting 41% from the field to rack up 23 points.

Rigby's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Blackfoot, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Everything went Rigby's way against Blackfoot in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Rigby made off with a 69-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
