Preview: Fountain Valley Barons vs. Cerritos Dons
After five games on the road, Fountain Valley is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Cerritos Dons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Fountain Valley beat University 82-71. Given Fountain Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while University is ranked 721st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cerritos' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Gahr by a score of 60-58. Cerritos has struggled against Gahr recently, as their game on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Fountain Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Cerritos, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
