The El Camino Real Royals will square off against the Birmingham Patriots at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. El Camino Real is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

On Monday, El Camino Real made easy work of Taft and carried off a 17-5 victory. Considering the Royals have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Audrina Gonzalez looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, El Camino Real got a massive performance out of Sarah Delgado, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Perry, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

El Camino Real always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Birmingham's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 9-3 to Granada Hills Charter.

Birmingham saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jazmine Olmos, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

El Camino Real has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Birmingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
