Old Mill's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jemirah Brown, who posted 14 points and seven rebounds, and Layla Anderson, who put up nine points. Jaida Fernandez also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, South River strolled past Severna Park with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 41-22.

South River has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Old Mill, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.
