Volleyball Recap: Gibault Catholic Victorious

After losing to Okawville the last time they met, Gibault Catholic decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hawks skirted past the Rockets 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted since September 3, 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Gibault Catholic got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 17-25, 25-20.

Gibault Catholic found their leader in freshman BRYNN MOORE, who had 27 digs and two assists. Those 27 digs set a new season-high mark for MOORE.

Gibault Catholic's record now sits at 4-6. As for Okawville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Gibault Catholic will square off against Granite City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Okawville, they will take on Sparta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
