Football Game Preview: Marquette Crusaders vs. Morrison Mustangs + How To Watch

The Marquette Crusaders will head out to challenge the Morrison Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Marquette put up the most points they have all season on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-6 win over Knoxville. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Crusaders with their most commanding win of the season.

Grant Dose had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 170 yards and four TDs on only 12 carries. Those 170 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Jacoby Gooden helped out on the ground, rushing for 96 yards.

Meanwhile, Morrison hadn't done well against Fulton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Mustangs walked away with a 31-21 victory over the Steamers. The Mustangs didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Morrison picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Marquette, their record is now 5-3.

Marquette strolled past Morrison in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 by a score of 20-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
