Basketball Recap: Webster Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mercy School Institute on Thursday, Webster came back down to earth. The matchup between the Webster Warriors and the Okmulgee Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Webster Warriors falling 64-48. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Webster lost on Friday, don't look at Terrance Franklin. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Jordan Deroin, who posted six points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.

Webster's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Okmulgee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Webster has already played their next game (against McLain Science & Tech), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Okmulgee has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Glenpool.
