Soccer Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Christian Academy lost against Holly Grove Christian on September 12th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The LIONS took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Paul Hensley (HS) and Jordan Clark (HS) scored all three of Calvary Christian Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Calvary Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-3. As for Holly Grove Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Calvary Christian Academy will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Fairwinds Christian at 4:15 p.m. Calvary Christian Academy will be up against Fairwinds Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.8 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Holly Grove Christian, they will head out to face off against Salisbury at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Holly Grove Christian will need to watch out since Salisbury have now posted at least four goals every time they've taken the pitch this season.
