Volleyball Recap: Stevenson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Watsonville last Thursday, Stevenson came back down to earth. The Pirates came up short against the Alisal Trojans on Thursday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Stevenson ultimately came up short, they really made Alisal work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-17, 25-19.

Stevenson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Alisal, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-10.

Looking ahead, Stevenson will venture away from home to face off against Pacific Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Alisal, they will challenge Soledad at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
