There's no place like home for Carbon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Manti Templars on Thursday. For the Dinos, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Templars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.
Carbon was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-10, 25-23.
Brailee Peterson paced Carbon's offense, picking up 14 kills. Peterson got some help from Emma Dart and her 17 assists. Rylee Butler controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Carbon's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-13. As for Manti, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Carbon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Union on the 30th. As for Manti, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Wasatch Academy on the 29th.
