Basketball Preview: Woodland Regional Hawks vs. Seymour Wildcats

The Woodland Regional Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Seymour Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland Regional is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.

Last Friday, Woodland Regional took their game at home with ease, bagging a 55-10 win over the Bulldogs. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Woodland Regional has managed all season.

Meanwhile, Seymour earned a 49-38 win over the Eagles on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seymour to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jillian Keough, who scored 11 points along with six assists and two steals. Keough has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Cunningham, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Woodland Regional's record is now 8-9. Seymour's record is now 9-7.

Woodland Regional didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Wildcats in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 46-41 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodland Regional since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
