Calvary Baptist entered their tilt with Norton Science & Language Academy on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Rockets an 18-0 shutout. Give the Cougars' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Mcphail is becoming a predictor of Calvary Baptist's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 2-5 when he doesn't). Elijah Gomez was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Calvary Baptist kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive contests.
