Softball Game Preview: Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Dexter Dreadnaughts

The Lincoln Railsplitters will head out on the road to take on the Dexter Dreadnaughts at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Lincoln's last matchup with Saline could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Railsplitters lost 9-0 to the Hornets. The Railsplitters' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Dexter's offense. They came up short against Tecumseh on Wednesday, falling 7-0. The Dreadnaughts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Dexter, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1.

Lincoln skirted past Dexter 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Do the Railsplitters have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dreadnaughts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
