Grosse Ile and Flat Rock are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2022, but not for long. The Red Devils will square off against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Meanwhile, Flat Rock made easy work of Huron on Friday and carried off a 64-40 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Rams just coasted through the last quarter.

Grosse Ile better keep an eye on Madleen Hussein. She was instrumental in Flat Rock's win, shooting 52% from the field to rack up 26 points along with eight steals and six assists. Those eight steals gave Hussein a new career-high. Layla Holbrook was another key player, going 5-for-10 on her way to 14 points.

Flat Rock smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Flat Rock is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points over those games. As for Grosse Ile, their record now sits at 7-8.

Grosse Ile couldn't quite get it done against Flat Rock in their previous meeting back in January as they fell 47-38. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
