Baseball Recap: Beaver Wins Going Away Against Milford

It's playoff time, and Beaver had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Milford Tigers on Saturday. The Beavers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Raider Blomquist made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabe Robinson, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Davis Carter was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Beaver kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive games.

Beaver's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Milford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Beaver nor Milford have any future games scheduled.
