Volleyball Recap: Arcata Takes a Loss

Arcata's tournament run continued when they took on San Rafael on Saturday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Arcata's offense was headlined by Nora Brumbaugh and Betty Miles, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Harper Appy and her 13 assists. Brumbaugh was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Arcata's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for San Rafael, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season.

Arcata didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Kelseyville on the 4th. As for San Rafael, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Las Lomas on the 4th.
