Recap: Carson Senators vs. Reed Raiders
The Carson Senators lost against the Reed Raiders back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Carson fell just short of Reed by a score of 48-45. Carson has struggled against Reed recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Carson still got an impressive performance from Lauren Finnerty, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals. Ashley Waiksnoris was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Among those leading the charge was Anastasia Lombardi, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliana Atlookan, who scored eight points.
Carson has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Reed, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-14.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Galena the next time they take the court. Carson will head out to face Galena at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, while Reed will host them at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
