Football Recap: Mason Takes a Loss

Mason managed to slip by Middletown the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Comets were dealt a 37-7 defeat at the hands of the Middies on Friday. The Comets just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Mason's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Middletown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Mason and Middletown should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Comets (ranked 108th) will meet Colerain (ranked 306th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Middletown will face off against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (29 vs. 201).
