Baseball Recap: Moscow Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Moscow and Sandpoint, and Sandpoint kept the tradition alive. The Bears fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 6-5 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 on Saturday.

Tyson Izzo was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Moscow has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Sandpoint, they pushed their record up to 12-10 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

While Moscow had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
