Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cesar Chavez). They blew past the South Mountain Jaguars 22-5 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Champions in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won eight in a row.

Cesar Chavez got a massive performance out of Eddie Pedroza, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those four runs gave Pedroza a new career-high. Adolfo Pacheco was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Cesar Chavez lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Cesar Chavez's record now sits at 7-5. As for South Mountain, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
