Baseball Recap: Fairfield Gets the Win

Fairfield posted their closest victory since April 25, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the DuQuoin Indians 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mules.

Fairfield's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jesse King, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for DuQuoin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Fairfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 defeat against Johnston City on the 12th. As for DuQuoin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-1 win against Anna-Jonesboro on the 14th.
