Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 10-7-1 in the process. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Freeport Red Devils, sneaking past 3-1. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by exactly two runs.

As for Freeport, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. The loss was just more heartbreak for they, who fell 4-2 when the teams last met back in March of 2024.

For Freeport's part, Johnny Romero was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Freeport saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Brown, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Xavier Guardado was another, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

As of now, neither Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK nor Freeport have any future games scheduled.
