Baseball Recap: Dover Takes a Loss

Dover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 18-3 to the West York Area Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 on April 9th.

Dover saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Ferguson, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI were Ferguson's first of the season.

Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for West York Area, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Dover has already played their next game, a 4-0 loss against Eastern York on the 5th. As for West York Area, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Gettysburg on the 2nd.
