Norwayne had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They secured a 48-43 W over the Canton South Wildcats on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Bobcats, who have now won 18 matches in a row.

Norwayne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Maibach, who shot 57% from the field to rack up 22 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. Hannah Froelich was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Norwayne's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-3. As for Canton South, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 18-8 record.

Looking ahead, Norwayne will look to defend their home court on March 8th against Africentric Early College at 2:00 p.m. Africentric Early College will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Norwayne surely won't give up without a fight. Canton South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
