Preview: Trimble Tomcats vs. Eastern Eagles
Trimble is on a two-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Eastern a five-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Trimble Tomcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Eastern Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Trimble got the win against Southern by a conclusive 59-35.
Meanwhile, Eastern was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 70-64 to Nelsonville-York. Eastern has struggled against Nelsonville-York recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Trimble's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Everything came up roses for Trimble against Eastern in their previous matchup back in January of 2021 as the squad secured a 72-36 win. Will Trimble repeat their success, or does Eastern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
