Volleyball Recap: Kaylin Sheppard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Jackson over South Webster

Jackson lost against South Webster back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ironman/Ironladies lost 3-0 to the Jeeps. The Ironman/Ironladies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-13, 25-21.

Jackson lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kaylin Sheppard, who had 22 digs and one assist. Sheppard is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season. Daycee Howard was another key player, getting 18 assists and eight digs.

South Webster was led to victory by Kinley Horner and Emma Campbell. Horner had nine digs and one assist, while Campbell had 11 digs.

Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for South Webster, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Jackson and South Webster will both be playing Chesapeake the next time they take the court. The Jeeps will head out to face the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Ironman/Ironladies will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
