Basketball Game Preview: Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers vs. Wisdom Generals

The Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers will challenge the Wisdom Generals at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Houston Math Science & Tech and five for Wisdom.

It was a proper cat-fight when Houston Math Science & Tech challenged Bellaire last Monday. Houston Math Science & Tech took a blow against Bellaire, falling 71-24. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1210th, while the Cardinals are ranked 79th).

Houston Math Science & Tech's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Roosevelt Paggay, who posted six points along with six boards and three steals, and Jereamiah Dorsey, who had five points. That's the most steals Paggay has posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, Wisdom was beaten by Lamar 78-23 on Friday.

Houston Math Science & Tech's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Wisdom, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

Houston Math Science & Tech beat Wisdom 45-32 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Will Houston Math Science & Tech repeat their success, or does Wisdom have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
