Basketball Recap: McKinley Bulldogs vs. Perry Panthers
McKinley was the 66-58 winner over Perry when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The McKinley Bulldogs took a 64-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Perry Panthers on Wednesday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why McKinley lost, don't look at Mya Taylor. Despite the final result, she posted 26 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. That was a full 48.1% of McKinley's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ka'Myah Gisentaner, who earned two points in addition to ten boards and five steals.
McKinley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Perry, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
