Calvary Chapel was led to victory by Matthew Peters, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Peters' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 112 rushing yards dating back to last season. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 59 yards.
If the past is any indication, Peters could be in store for another big game when he takes on Estancia on Friday. Peters rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 95 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and Estancia duked it out back in October of 2023.
