With a playoff win on the line, Poway rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the La Costa Canyon Mavericks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.
La Costa Canyon's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gerrit Van Glabbeek, who had 11 digs and one assist, and Matthew Rowen, who had 14 kills, ten digs, and one block.
Poway's win bumped their record up to 25-16. As for La Costa Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-19.
Coming up, Poway will square off against Mission Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mission Vista will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Poway surely won't give up without a fight. La Costa Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
