Recap: Calvary Day Cavaliers vs. Savannah Country Day Hornets
It was a good run, but the Calvary Day Cavaliers unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Savannah Country Day 55-49. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Calvary Day in their matchups with Savannah Country Day: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Calvary Day lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zora Geiger. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Destini Gooddine was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Calvary Day's defeat ended a 23-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-5. As for Savannah Country Day, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Calvary Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Savannah Country Day, they will head out on the road to challenge Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Beach has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
