Volleyball Recap: Opp Has No Trouble Against Pike County + How To Watch

Opp won the last time they faced Pike County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Opp took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-11.

Opp had a senior duo take command as Carreline Spears had nine kills, nine aces, and six digs and Crislyn Birge had 11 digs and two aces. Spears is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Opp was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. They are 9-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Opp now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Pike County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Opp will welcome Andalusia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pike County, they will host New Brockton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
