Basketball Recap: Surry Homeschool Starts Season with Loss at Home

Surry HomeSchool unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 32-20 to the Forsyth Home Educators Hawks on Thursday. If the Runnin' Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 49-27 to the Hawks when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

BayLeigh Johnson was nothing short of spectacular for Forsyth Home Educators: she posted 15 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Another player making a difference was Lily Arnold, who scored seven points and five steals.

Surry HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-42 win against Woodland Baptist Christian on the 10th. As for Forsyth Home Educators, they have also already played their next game, a 31-28 victory against Asheboro Hybrid Academy on the 6th.
