Softball Recap: Central City Value Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Central City Value unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Diego Rivera Huskies on Thursday, falling 18-11.

The win was the third in a row for Diego Rivera, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Central City Value Jaguars duke it out with Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Diego Rivera, they will face off against West Adams at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Diego Rivera has given up an average of 11.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
