Basketball Game Preview: Roosevelt Mustangs vs. Carter Cowboys

Roosevelt is 0-10 against Carter since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Roosevelt Mustangs will host the Carter Cowboys at 8:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

On Friday, Roosevelt was fully in charge, breezing past Wilmer-Hutchins 77-29. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Eagles are ranked 964th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Carter humbled Conrad with a 72-30 victory. The Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 25 points or more this season.

Roosevelt is also on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Carter, they pushed their record up to 24-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.
